What happens during a Luna Discovery Call?

4 min read

If you haven't been feeling like yourself, and have been thinking about reaching out to Luna for a while now, a discovery call might be for you.

Maybe you've read a few of our blog posts at 11pm, wondering if what you're feeling has a name, or if other women are experiencing the same thing. Maybe a friend mentioned Luna. Maybe you just typed "hormone specialist near me" into a search bar out of sheer exhaustion.

Wherever you're starting from — welcome. And take a breath, because here's the first thing we want you to know: the discovery call is not an appointment, an exam, or a sales pitch. It's a conversation. A real one, with a real person, about what's actually going on with you.

Here's exactly what happens when you book your discovery call.

First, It's Free — and It's Yours

There's no cost and no obligation to book a discovery call with Luna. This isn't a bait-and-switch or a five-minute call designed to rush you into a decision. It's 30 to 40 minutes, set aside just for you, to talk honestly about what you're experiencing and what you're hoping to find.

Every Luna discovery call happns with our menopuase certifed team of providers or our amazing clinic nurse who has hosted more of these calls than just about anyone!

We built it this way on purpose. Before you commit to Luna, you deserve the chance to ask questions, share your story, and see if we're the right fit. No pressure. No clock. Just space to talk.

A Real Conversation About You

We'll spend the bulk of the call simply listening while we explore:

  • What symptoms you're noticing — the ones you can name, and the ones that are harder to describe

  • What's been challenging, whether that's sleep, mood, weight, energy, brain fog, or that vague sense that something's "off"

  • A bit about your health history, so we understand the full picture, not just the surface

  • What you're hoping to get out of care — what "better" would actually look like for you

You don't need to prepare a script or have your symptoms perfectly organized. Some women come in with a detailed list. Others come in saying, "I just don't feel like myself anymore, and I don't know why." Both are exactly the right way to start.

Getting to Know Luna

Once we understand where you're at, we'll walk you through how Luna works — what our approach to hormone care actually looks like in practice, and what makes it different from what you may have experienced before.

All of Luna's new patients choose a path where their HRT journey begins and can later choose to continue their care with Luna or transfer their care back to their PCP or GYN provider.

Part of this conversation is determining, which new patient path makes the most sense for you:

  • Concierge Care is a highly individualized 4 month program. During this experience, we complete comprehensive testing, offer extended visits, and a provider relationship built for the long haul. It's for women who want comprehensive, whole-person care and a true partner in their hormone health journey. Concierge care also includes the option to begin weight loss medications or female dosed testosterone if needed.

  • The Bridge Program is a 3 month program offering a combination of group education sessions and individual visits which offer individualized care as well as a community of support. Bridge patients receive testing and HRT prescriptions, as well as supplement recommendations to support their mid-life journey. The Bridge Program has a new group starting once per month.

There's no wrong answer here, and no upsell agenda. We'll talk through both options honestly, answer your questions, and help you figure out which one actually fits your life — not the other way around.

What Comes Next, If You're Ready

If, by the end of the call, you feel like Luna is the right fit and you're ready to move forward, we'll get you scheduled right then and there — no separate call-back, no extra hoops.

And if you're not ready yet? That's completely fine too. This call is about you making an informed decision on your own timeline, not ours.

The Luna Difference, From the Very First Call

At Luna, we believe supported care starts before you're even officially a patient. The discovery call isn't a formality we push you through to get to the "real" appointment — it is part of your care. It's our first chance to listen, to earn your trust, and to show you what it feels like to finally be taken seriously.

You deserve a provider who has time for your questions, who explains things until they make sense, and who never makes you feel rushed, dismissed, or like just another chart. That starts here.

Ready to talk? Book your free discovery call and let's figure out, together, what real hormone care can look like for you.
