Meet Your Guides
Maggie Powers, NP - Luna Hormone Health

Before founding Luna Hormone Health, Maggie Powers was a thoracic surgery nurse practitioner at UMass Memorial in Worcester, where she provided nuanced, compassionate care for cancer patients and individuals with complex respiratory illnesses.
Before that, she spent years as a math and science teacher in Massachusetts public schools — even coaching her school's math team (The Denominators).
Maggie's approach to hormone care is rooted in building real trust with her patients: taking time to listen, educating openly, and creating care plans people can actually believe in. She is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner with special interests in HRT after cancer treatment, women's sexual health, and gender affirming care.
McLain Nobel, PA - Luna Hormone Health

McLain Nobel is a physician assistant with nearly twenty years of experience in OBGYN in the Boston area, with deep roots in women's health, obstetrics, and community health. Originally from Michigan, McLain completed her PA training in Pittsburgh before relocating to Boston in 2007.
McLain is passionate about caring for women navigating perimenopause and menopause, and brings a particular warmth to conversations about anatomy, sexual wellness, and the ways our bodies evolve over time. Her goal is simple: for every patient to feel heard, comfortable, and cared for — and maybe learn something wonderful about their body along the way.
When she's not in clinic, McLain is a mom of two teenagers, a runner, a skier, and a dedicated traveler.

Lori is a Functional Nutritionist and is dedicated to helping busy people make positive nutrition and other lifestyle changes to support their long-term health. She has been passionate about healthy living for over 30 years and feels that everyone deserves to feel good and know what they can do to enhance their overall wellness.
If you would like to connect with Lori, you can find her HERE.
Through her own mid-life experience, she values the importance of looking more closely at our lifestyle habits as we age. Lori also recognizes that nutrition information can be confusing and helps cut through the noise when working with her clients.
When she is not working, she enjoys hiking with her husband and dog, playing the drums, and pampering herself.

Kathy Kates is a Brookline based NP with a robust background in sexual and
reproductive health. After her own breast cancer treatment, she expanded my work to focus on sexual medicine, including high-tone pelvic floor dysfunction, hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD), and the profound effects of perimenopause, menopause, and surgical menopause on sexual health.
Her clinical work blends trauma-informed pelvic floor expertise, hormone-informed care for the menopause transition, and a passion for the education of fellow medical professionals. If you would like to connect with Kathy, you can find her HERE.
